getting buff

To combat my new found boredom, I looked into finding a new "India-compatible" hobby. Driving, travelling, and superhero-style crime fighting sounded tempting, but in the end I've settled on going to the gym. My hotel has a small (read: tiny) gym, but it's helping me get back into some sembalnce of physical shape. Before you know it I'll be just as buff as our favorite Republican Governator. The only problem with my plan is the elevation. Bangalore is situated about 900 meters above sea level, so I've found that the higher altitude makes me short of breath pretty quickly. Or maybe I'm just blaming the altitude for my out-of-shapeness. Let's see if I keep it up.

oh the boredom

It's sad when the most exciting thing to happen to me in a whole week is getting a haircut! It had been about 8 weeks since my last trip to the barber's chair and it really showed. I'm sure that any of you who are familiar with the nappy growing patterns of my hair will be begging me for pictures of my former 'fro. Sorry to disappoint you but I'm pretty sure there is no photographic evidence. My hair had gotten so out of control that my friend Asif used to remind me many times a day (in person, over IM, SMS, phone calls, you name it) that I needed to get a haircut. Judging by how long I've spent talking about this hair-shortening event, it's easy to see that I'm BORED. I guess I got so used to working 18 hours a day that a 10-12 hour workday leaves me with WAY too much free time. (I KNOW I'm going to regret that statement...)
